Leighfield is a small primary school in Uppingham that is rated Good by Ofsted. Being a small school means we know all our children. It means we have a better idea of what motivates them and what success should look like for them. We believe that small schools allow every child to reach their potential.
Leighfield is a one-form entry primary school (a maximum of 30 pupils) and therefore has one class per year group.
Space and time are at the heart of a child’s education at Leighfield, and we seek to make the most of our small size and our rural setting. We encourage learning outdoors through our Forest School and Secret Garden.
We are proud of the relationships that we have with our children, parents and the community. In partnership, we want to provide an outstanding education for the children at Leighfield to ensure they are well equipped to be lifelong learners and good citizens.
All our staff are passionate about making children happy, developing their confidence and inspiring them to be successful. This passion ensures that Leighfield is a vibrant and creative place to be.
