From assemblies to performance poetry and large Key Stage productions, there are many fabulous opportunities for children to enjoy the performing arts at Leighfield.  Mrs Stephenson organises the Dead Poets Society who take part in local competitions and festivals.  They have gained a super reputation for the quality of their performances and we are incredibly proud of our growing provision in drama.  Take a look in the drama photo gallery.

Rutland Children's Drama Festival 2016

The brief, 'Visitors from Elsewhere' was thoroughly expolored by Mrs Stephenson's Drama Group.  The children worked collaboratively to interpret the title and explore all the connotations such a title might have.  From initial ideas they had various improvised rehearsals to develop a plot - resulting in a script.  Infront of a large audience and other participating schools at Uppingham Theatre, all our actors, backstage and technical crew were exemplary in terms of their performances and behaviour.  We are so proud of you all!  Photographs in the Drama Gallery opposite.
