At Leighfield Primary School we aim to provide a happy, yet challenging environment for all our pupils, where they can succeed and develop their full potential.
Our school is located in the thriving market town of Uppingham in Rutland. The children who attend our school come mainly from the southern half of the town and the surrounding villages, namely Belton in Rutland, Glaston, Lyddington, Seaton, Stoke Dry, Thorpe by Water, and Wardley. Some parents from outside the catchment area and even from outside the County also opt to send their children to Leighfield.
We are fortunate to have a lovely school building with seven bright and attractive classrooms, a library, ICT suite and a Music Room. Outside, we have a large field and a well-equipped playground, which we use for sport, playing and outdoor learning.
Our pupils receive a broad, balanced curriculum that is enriched with activities, trips and visitors to school and we are very proud of our happy and caring ethos, where everyone is valued.
We recognise the importance of working closely with parents and we welcome the contribution that they can offer to our school in many ways, from helping in the classrooms to our thriving Parents’ Association, Friends of Leighfield School. We operate an open door policy and welcome our parents in to speak with us.
If you would like to find out more, then please telephone the school office to make an appointment. We would be delighted to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
